The Bible is clear – every Christian has a role to play in the Kingdom of God, and it is not necessarily restricted to a church context!

• Of Jesus’ 132 public appearances in the NT, 122 were in the marketplace?
• Of 52 parables Jesus told, 45 had a workplace context?
• Of 40 divine interventions recorded in Acts, 39 were in the marketplace?
• Jesus called 12 workplace individuals, not clergy, to start His church?

History shows that within the church there has been a tendency to draw a line between the sacred and secular, the clergy and the laity, that God never drew. 

The result is many gifted and dedicated Christians:

• feel disenfranchised;
• feel outside the sphere of what is ‘spiritual’; and
• have found little outlet for all that God has placed within them.

The truth is every one of us is called to a full time ministry and whether it is in the church or the workplace; it is a calling of significance and influence.

ignite will help you to connect your faith with your workplace calling  in a powerful way by bridging the gap between the sacred and the secular in training and development.
Our program assists individuals to successfully identify their God given purpose and equips them to engage in transforming society through workplace ministry.

ignite utilises a new and innovative approach, replacing traditional bible college lectures with a dynamic, multi-faceted training and development experience which includes:

• sound biblical teaching combined with cutting edge techniques and strategies for personal and workplace effectiveness in a highly interactive context;
• 1 hour individual consultationfor personalised support and mentoring;
• self directed learning with worksheets and recommendations for further study;
• opportunity to explore personality preferences through the Myers Briggs Type Indicator;
• ongoing online coaching; and
• facilitation of mentoring relationships

Sally Owen is an experienced and engaging motivational communicator with over 15 years experience in the church, public and private sectors. As well as serving as a Minister, she is a skilled leader, trainer, facilitator and counselor and her passion is for empowering and equipping individuals to discover and fulfill their unique God-given potential.

Sally is a principal at HotHouse, an Associate Minister at Parkway, and is currently working on her Masters of Training and Development.

In addition, Guest Lecturers will be invited to address specific topics during the year.
